Talk Talk had quite the tranformation in the 80's. They started out in the New Wave english pop scene, and by the end of their career they were among the most original and interesting bands of their time and had created 3 important classic albums. Among those albums, and their last, was Laughing Stock. This album is probably my second favorite of all time (just behind Sigur Ros' "( )"). The Single for today, from Laughing Stock, is the song After the Flood. I don't really know what to say about it, other than the fact that it's pure brilliance. An transcendent song if there ever was one. Notice how much more beautiful the second part sounds after the "noise" bridge.
