Imaginary Sounds Mix 6: Snow & Mix 7: The Best of...Of Montreal

The semester is over, and summer break begins. Now seems like as good a time as any to post the mix i've been working on for a bit. Hopefully I can have a few more up within the next couple months, but who knows--looking at my track record. As somewhat of an apology for the long wait between mixes, I've added a bonus mix.

Some people call these songs Shoegaze, and some Dream-Pop. They are sound, and quite a bit of melody. Sometimes one is louder than the other. This mix is not meant to be indicative of the best of either genre, but are simply some of my favorite songs from each.

Hands down one of my favorite bands, and for a while was the top artist on my Last.fm (which I think was a little off, but whatever). I can't think of another band that's as fun and wild, and simultaneously introspective and brooding. Their output varies on an diverse range of styles, and sometimes, quality. For that reason I wanted to compile all of my favorite moments of their albums into one personal best of. If you like to think, and have fun, check Of Montreal out.
