Change

Although it doesn't neatly fit in the Killing Joke repertoire, this song seems to foreshadow some of the heavier new wave sounds. It's safe to say that Killing Joke never did better than their self-titled debut in 1980. They began with a edgy rough, dance-fused-with-metal sound, but faded into trendy pop (not the good kind). But when they had it right, it was right on par. 1980. Sighhh. What a good year.
