Plat is an Icelandic duo of multi-instrumentalists Arnar Helgi Adalsteinsson and Vilhjálmur Pálsson who released their 10-track debut, and only release, Compulsion in 2005. Compulsion sounds like a digital wasteland, the trash sounds of the electronic age, and Plat has taken that hodge-podge and produced a Dadaist masterpiece of harmonic ambient landscapes rich on well arranged errors, glitches, clicks and acoustic samples. This album is an absolute masterpiece; every song carries the same aesthetic and lends to the sonic concept of the piece as a whole.
